Employment Exchange For Women:
Considering the reservation quota of 30% for women in the state Government and relaxation in the Age limit for five years in state Government Services for women, the state government has started two employment exchanges exclusively for women at Ahmedabad and Jamnagar from year 2007-08. These Employment Exchanges also give vocational guidance and counseling to the women candidates.
Regional Offices:
For the ease of administrative supervision of the functioning of
employment exchanges/ offices, the state has been divided in 4 regions
and the Regional offices are at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.
Rojgar Sahay Kendras (RSK):
This is a unique concept for extension of employment services
through public- private partnership. Recognizing the fact that the
present employment exchange set up in the state has not been very
successful in obtaining placements in the non-government sector,
which incidentally is the largest employer in the country.
Therefore, the state government has decided to share the jobseeker’s
database with prospective employers, in addition to the present
set up including this web site, through Rojgar Sahay Kendras too.
These RSKs are authorized to provide employment services to the
jobseekers as well.
